Back Story: This photo was taken during a documentary class with The Food Project's program partner Vonnya Pettigrew of Root Branch Film Academy. We wanted to give the youth a platform to express their feelings on having the recreation center shut down in their SW Baltimore neighborhood. This is what we call the "Healthy Voice" segment of our program. It is just as important that the kids put healthy things in their bodies and well as have healthy expression out to let people know what is on their minds, what is important to them.
